Transportation and Tourism

Naples has attracted visitors over the centuries. It was one of the main sites included in the Grand Tour. Today, the Historic Centre of Naples, where the meeting venue San Marcellino and Festo is located, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Below are listed the “must see” locations while you are in Naples, all of which are within walking distance of the meeting venue.

Tips and practical information

Do take the Alibus from the airport to the harbour where the hotels are located
Do use Metro and funicolare to move around Naples
Do always request the predetermined fare when taking taxis (this is available only for some routes and must be requested before the journey)
Do put your valuables and documents in a safe place. As in all locations that attract large numbers of tourists, beware of pickpockets
Do plan some time to have a pizza
Do taste a sfogliatella
